I began my art life with "water media", using acrylics like watercolor, then began using professional quality watercolors and paper.

After several years of moderate success, just figuring it out by myself, I went to school and 'earned' my BFA at the College of Fine Arts at the University of Florida.

I've always been a  bit of a 'shutterbut' and began working on it seriously after discovering that taking photographs of art work (paintings) is not near as easy as pointing the camera out the door and snapping the shutter.  Getting quality digital camera has helped along with a truly decent photo editing program.  Digital cameras have made photography easier in one sense, but you still need the 'art skills' to compose and see your image almost instantly.  I do very little photo editing, sometimes cropping or minor adjustment to the contrast.

I'm still in love with nature, my morning walks and occasional travel to the mountains; butterfly's, flowers, trees and the forest, as well as whatever appears that I can capture a small piece of to share.

From painting with watercolor and acrylics, to photography, I've discovered the creative ability to manipulate the pixels with color, layers, cutting, pasting, stretching, swirling, layering, and merging to bring what I think are some of the very best non-objective abstracts that can be spatial landscapes or universal new worlds.
